Abstract: The study aims to identify the role of information technology in the development of intellectual capital in the Libyan oil sector. The study included a comprehensive inventory sample consisting of (70) employees of senior management members, in addition to relying on a stratified random sample of workers consisting of (375) employees. Where a questionnaire was prepared and distributed to the study sample members of the two samples, and the validity and reliability of the study tool were tested and hypotheses were tested using descriptive and analytical statistics methods to identify the validity of the hypotheses. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant relationship between information technology (support and support, infrastructure, e-training) and intellectual capital management (human capital, structural, and customers), and the most important recommendations came to the need to focus on the infrastructure of information and communication technology, And using it in electronic training programs, keeping abreast of developments that occur in the world, and benefiting from it in developing intellectual capital.
